   Go Debbie! This is about safety and security, PURE AND SIMPLE. Open, unprotected borders, are like leaving your own front door wide open 24 hours a day! Maybe that was alright 40 years ago, but times have changed radically, ie drug lords, illegal drugs, violence, murder, TERRORISM, corruption, the sex trade, kidnappings for ransom! This was not the case 40 years ago….but it is now! To deny this and play the “race” card now when the stats are out on the blatent threats to US citizens, is so ridiculous it does not even bear addressing. So we must now adjust and change accordingly. IT IS TIME TO CLOSE AND LOCK OUR DOORS! PERIOD!

   Thank you for your work. Since I have returned to Texas after being away for 30 years I have been shocked by the devastation created by the drugs coming across the border on the health and social structure of the state. The effects on the health delivery and education systems of illegal immigration is enormous. Your bill will be a steo in te right direction. Thanks.
