I support immigration enforcement measures at the state level. Every county in TX is participating in the federal govt's "Secure Communities Initiative". Consequently, any law enforcement agency with electronic booking, may send fingerprints of jailed residents to the state, FBI and ICE, for a basic warrant check.

All local law enforcement agencies must be forced to do this !

As usual the opponents, mainly liberal Democrats & far left zealots who want the Latino vote, are using insults and name calling to justify their argument. They offer no alternative constructive solutions to controlling illegal immigration except a free pass for all who want to bypass the regular immigration path. Anyone who like me, came here legally and took many years to become a citizen is outraged at the crude attempt to win votes and unfairly allow unqualified immigrants to enter freely and live off our already stretched healthcare & welfare system.
Mexico, that bastion of freedom & equality, does not allow free immigration yet they have the nerve & bad manners to lambast us in our own Congress for trying to control the tide.Shame on them and shame on us for letting them.
The Canadian Muslim lady on O'Reilly the other night summed it up brilliantly when she said the USA is drowning in a sea of political correctness and it is costing us the freedom that was dearly bought over the last 400 years.
Finally and this is a real problem, 25 % of all illegals crossing our southern borders are not Latino but potential terrorists from the MIddle and Far East. A little know FACT that is swept under the carpet by the supporters of free for all immigration.

I told my congregation a few years ago, if you're here illegally, procure to become legal residents, and do not bring anybody else illegally to this country. We as the bible says, " have to abide by the Law of God, and the laws of the country where we reside." However, I believe that the people who has lived in this country for many years, and have children, and grandchilldren should be given the opportunity to become American Citizens, after all, this is the land of our ancestors, and we were killed, and pushed to the land of the south by white conquerors, who took over our land, and our rights. Everything that is happening now, is not happening by surprise, it was written thousands of thousand of years ago. "I will bring my people back to their lands", "I gave my people's land to other people, because of their disobedience". But, God promised to return our land, when these other people from accross the ocean turn their back to their Creator, and began to oppress, exploit, and hate, his original people, the natives of this Great Land of the American Continent. So to all the haters down there, I ask this question, are you stronger of Our Father, The Almighty God?

Temporary injunction is baseless, the constitutionality has precluded the judgement of judge Bolton ruling and 1070 will be returned to full functionality

Section 10 - Powers prohibited of States

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Controul of the Congress.

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Arizona is being directly invaded everyday by armed and unarmed foreign nationals. That alone should be enough for Arizona to enact it's own legislation.

The DOJ cannot use the Commerce Clause (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3) unless they want to redefine illegal immigrants as items to be bought, sold, or traded or directly redefining them as currency. Not even the most progressive elitist would do that.

Judge Susan R. Bolton is incorrect in stating the Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2) is bearing on this case. If that is where they decide to hang their collective hats,

Bankruptcy law will be have to be revisited and I seriously doubt the Feds want that happening.

I want to express I agree with passing an immigration law here in Texas. I am not oppose to immigrants entering the US legally, going thru the process legally to become US citizens. If one person has to go thru the legal system to become a US citizen then all should. You have a lot of hard working people that are hard workers, cleaning homes and offices, taking care of lawns, construction workers (building homes, fixing roads) but, a lot of them became U.S. citizens the legal way. They should not pay for something others choose to do the illegal way. If you want to become a US citizen and work in the US, do it the right way. Otherwise, a law has to be passed in order for illegal immigration to stop because they are not stopping on their own.

I agree with your decision to place the immigration bill on the table. I am a Democrat but there are a lot of Democrats who agree with you regarding the immigration issue. We need something done now about the illegal immigrant issue! Get that law passed and there will be a lot of Democrats, like myself supporting Republicans this year!
