No one wants to admit that the illegals are taking over this country. We are paying a tremendous amount by providing for these illegals. They are getting benefits that american citizens can't get or have a hard time getting. I have seen the large amount of food stamps they receive and how they take advantage of the health care and welfare. Employers are hiring them and it knocks an american citizen out of a job. You can't go to another country and think they will give you a free ride because you demand it are rally for rights in their country. Try it and see how fast you will be deported or locked up. The majority of illegals here are hispanics. All the ilegals have broken the law and something needs to be done. If there is a law that states that you can't rent to illegals or harbor them in your home, apply for benefits (welfare, food stamps, medicaid or chips) under your name for illegals without being prosecuted or losing your citizenship if you came here from that country and for those that employ them be heavily fined, I think that would change some things although there will be those that still try to slip through. Immigrations laws need to be enforced and they need to get get tuff on these illegals. Taxpayers are tired of taking care of these illegals.

To Ms. Parker: I have been to other countries to work and to visit. I have been asked for my identification(Passport) just because I asked directions and had a different accent and wasn't fluent in the language. Did I feel offended, no, that is their law. Was it because I was suspicious, I don't know. And I am white and the country I was in was mostly white also. I also worked in a country in Africa and I cannot count the times that I was asked to show my passport. But you know what, I was there legally and knew they have immigration laws and they are enforced properly. You people who are trying to cover for these folks that are blatantly breaking the laws of the USA always try to infer race into the issue. It is not about race, It is about coming here legally.
You say these people come here seeking refuge and opportunity, that is great. But do it legally as millions have before them. No it isn't easy to immigrate to the USA, but, it shouldn't be. There are background checks, verification of ID, etc... It takes time and money, like anything we do in this world.
My personal opinion is to deport all illegal aliens, they are NOT immigrants if they are here illegally look it up, along with their children and the rest of their family. There is no legal claim for "anchor babies". That is an illegal practice that our government, much like their lack of enforcement of the immigration laws now in effect, to turn their head and look the other way. If they want to come back in, let them if they do it the way that millions of LEGAL immigrants have.

Get legal or get out? Become part of the dream not the nightmare.
If you trully wanted a better life her in the US, why do you send most of your money back home?
When was the last time that someone broke into your house, used your toilet, ate you food and demaned your pay for their broken leg (when they slipped on your kitchen floor)? What is the difference between this and illegal immigration?

Glad and support you doing this. We need Governor Perry to take a stand like the Arizona Governor. Our neighborhood in Mission Bend has been changed by the illegals moving in mass numbers in one house at a time. They schools are suffering. Why doesn't Perry take action?
